Determined!

So it’s been 4 months since I’ve logged on.  Biggest reason for this is because I decided to go back to school this past May.  I am now a full time student, full time employee and a full time single mom.  Whew!!  I’ve been super busy.  I’ve stopped worrying about my weight and boy does it show.  I’ve gained everything back and then some and I’m not happy about it.  Time for a turnaround.  I promise to myself to log on everyday to keep myself motivated.  I’m so terribly busy and tired all day long, so I know if I can just fit in a little bit of exercising into my routine I would have a whole lot more energy.  I apologize to all my buddies that I haven’t been around, but I’m back now and more determined then ever.

Have a great day everyone!!

Today is a good and bad day…..

My boyfriend called me really late last night (he is overseas) and it was nice because we talked for quite a while.  It was great because he actually sounded happy and energetic and a lot of the times that I talk to him he’s been sounding kind of down in the dumps and depressed because he really wants to come home, but not last night.  He was very chipper.  That was good part.  After getting off the phone I became depressed because it just makes me miss him even more every time I talk to him and I start to think about all the things we are missing together.  We missed his b-day in Nov, Christmas, New Years, my b-day is in a week and a half, V-day, etc.  HOPEFULLY he will be back mid-March, but it just seems like it’s taking forever for it to get here.  I know I’m whining, but damnit he’s my friend and I miss him terribly!!!!  Anyway, I’m sorry for the whining blog, but I needed to vent for just a little bit.

HAVE A GREAT DAY AND I HOPE EVERYONE MEETS THEIR GOALS!!!

Oops!!

Today was my first day of counting points. Didn’t start the morning off very well since my boys and I stopped at a gas station on the way to school and I thought a candy bar would be PERFECT for breakfast. I guess I didn’t do sooooo badly. I only went over my daily points by 3 points which I can just put towards my weekly bonus points.

My food journal:

Breakfast - Kit Kat 10 points

Lunch - Hamburger Helper (made with ground turkey) 1 serving = 7 points

Snack - Half a turkey sandwich with cheese, mustard and light mayo 3 points

Dinner - Really big salad made with spring mix lettuce, mushrooms, baby carrots and 4 Tablespoons of french dressing 8 points (all the points here only came from the dressing) and 1 cup of grapes 1 point

Snack - Other half of turkey sandwich 3 points

Daily points = 32 points

Time for my return…..

So last night I was thinking for a long time about whether or not I could afford to go back to Weight Watchers meetings again.  After a long time of soul searching the real question I decided was, “Could I really afford not to go?”  I’ve placed the monthly fee into my budget plan and have decided to start going to meetings every Thursday morning.  I did WW a little over a year ago, but stopped going when I was going through my divorce.  Very excited about returning.  Last night I went through my fridge I portioned out a lot of my food into points.  It was great.  Just doing that made me very excited to return to the meetings!!!

CHECK THIS OUT!!!

This is especially great for anybody who is on the Weight Watchers plan, but everybody should check it out.   www.skinnyweek.com   This website is full of healthy recipes.  I absolutely love it.  If you are on Weight Watchers it lists the point values for each recipe as well.  CHECK IT OUT!!!

I’m so tired

I look at my eliptical everyday and wonder when I’m going to stop making excuses to get off my butt and use it. I work until midnite every night them get up by 6am to get my oldest to school in the morning. I keep telling myself it’s ok that I didn’t work out today because I’m just too tired and I’m working alot, but then I look in the mirror and I can’t stand what I see. UGH!! TODAY IS THE DAY I WILL STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND JUST DO IT!!!
